Dreaming with the Land: An Overnight Retreat for Dreaming and Plant Connection

  • Heartsong Sanctuary (map)

Dreaming with the Land is an overnight retreat that immerses participants in the practice of dreamwork, offering a space for connection, reflection, and exploration. Set in the tranquil grounds of Heartsong Sanctuary in High Falls, NY, this retreat calls us to remember the practice of dreaming in community. Amidst the rush of modern life, we slow down to honor the wisdom of our dreams, connect with plant allies that enhance our dreamwork, and share in the richness of our collective experiences. It’s an invitation to remember the profound connection between the dreamworld and the waking world, to trust in the messages of our dreams, and recognize how dreaming is a language that guides us into a more intimate relationship with ourselves, the land, and one another.

Why Attend?
Dreams offer a direct channel to wisdom, healing, and deep inner knowing. Yet, in a culture that often prioritizes rational thought and tangible outcomes, dreams are frequently dismissed or forgotten. Dreaming with the Land offers a supportive space to honor dreams as a practice and explore their role in our personal and collective journeys. Through plant allies like Mugwort and shared storytelling, this retreat invites participants to reconnect with the rich, intuitive language of their dreams and cultivate a deeper trust in their inner guidance.

Intentions for the Retreat:

  • To Dream in Connection: Dreaming is not a solitary practice; it is an ancient, communal experience. By sharing and listening together, we create space for collective insight and deeper understanding.

  • To Work with the Land & Plant Allies: We will work with Mugwort and other herbs that support and enhance dreamwork, deepening our relationship with the plants and the land around us.

  • To Cultivate Trust in the Unseen: This retreat will encourage participants to trust their dreams and messages from the unseen world, strengthening their ability to listen and follow their intuitive wisdom.

What to Expect:

  • Mugwort Distillation & Dream Tea: Participants will have the opportunity to work with Mugwort and other dream-supportive plants to create a potent dream tea blend and experience the process of distillation.

  • Fire Gathering: In the evening, we will gather around a fire to share our dreams, insights, and reflections with one another, creating a supportive container for collective dreaming.

  • Dreaming in Nature: The night will be spent sleeping in a setting attuned to the earth’s wisdom. Heartsong Sanctuary offers a range of accommodations to suit different preferences (See Accomodations below)
