Venus Day: A Red Tent Gathering with Sasha Botanica + Diana Wassef

Join Sasha and Diana for a relaxed afternoon at Sasha’s home in Wallkill, NY. Held by donation, this meet-and-greet is a chance to connect outside of our workshops. Enjoy herbal teas, hot chocolate and homemade rose marshmallows. Wear your favorite red clothing and spend a cozy few hours getting to know us and our work.

This will be our first Red Tent Gathering, which is an offering Sasha and Diana are bringing into the community as a space to gather, rest, and connect. Rooted in ancient traditions across many cultures, the Red Tent was a space where women gathered during life’s transitions to rest, share stories, and be held by community. While traditions varied by place and culture, the shared purpose was care and connection.

Each Red Tent Gathering is shaped by the season and the women who attend. Some may feel more social or celebratory, while others are quieter and more reflective. At its core, our Red Tent Gatherings offer a space for community and care—where you can sit together, be heard, and spend time in a supportive, low-pressure environment.

Wintering Retreat in Napanoch NY

In the heart of winter, Sasha Botanica & Diana Wassef are gathering women for a slow, inward retreat nestled in the mountains of Naponoch, NY. Held in a cozy mountain home set within 130 acres of private land, surrounded by quiet and open space, this weekend is an invitation to soften, slow down, and be deeply cared for—centering rest, presence, and spaciousness.

❋ Nourishing The Body

Homemade meals, herbal blends, and herbal workshops are woven throughout the retreat. Food, tea, and shared moments around the table become part of the care, alongside womb wisdom that supports the body through winter in a steady, grounded way.

❋ Gathering in Community

We gather with women in the heart of winter to be together. Sitting in circle, sharing space, and moving through the weekend side by side creates a sense of warmth, support, and quiet connection.

❋ Creative Downtime

Winter invites slowness. Spacious time to rest, journal, sit by the fire, or make with the hands allows creativity to emerge naturally. From emptiness and pause, something soft and true has space to emerge.

❋ Seasonal Body

Whatever phase of life or cycle you are in, the medicine is there. We explore the relationship between the outer seasons in nature and the inner seasons of the body, the cycle, and the moon, deepening awareness through listening rather than fixing.

Crafting with Tallow Workshop: Sunday March 23rd

Before petroleum-based lotions and synthetic stabilizers, our ancestors crafted deeply nourishing skincare from whole, natural ingredients. Tallow—rich in skin-loving fats—was a staple in traditional ointments, healing balms, and soap-making.

In this hands-on workshop, we’ll explore:
✨ How to render and purify tallow for a smooth, odorless balm
✨ The basics of tallow soap-making
✨ How to blend tallow with infused herbal oils for a deeply healing, custom balm

Tallow is biologically similar to human sebum, meaning it:
✅ Absorbs easily without clogging pores
✅ Provides deep, long-lasting moisture
✅ Contains essential fatty acids (omega-3, 6, 7, and 9)
✅ Is rich in fat-soluble vitamins A, D, E, and K, which promote skin regeneration
✅ Has natural antimicrobial properties

Unlike modern lotions filled with synthetic stabilizers, tallow is a pure, whole-fat skincare ingredient that our ancestors relied on for generations.

Join us to reconnect with time-honored skincare traditions and create your own tallow balm and soap.

$45/person
