Waxing Moon: Ritual Silk Dyeing Workshop
The Waxing Moon Ritual Silk Dyeing workshop is the second gathering in the Body as Moon series, exploring the phase of emergence—the moment when energy begins to move outward again after a time of inwardness. Following the descent of menstruation, vitality gradually returns, bringing renewed curiosity, clarity, and responsiveness to the world. During this gathering, we will work with natural plant dyes to color silk scarves, allowing the slow unfolding of dye in water, heat, and plant matter to mirror this phase of reawakening. Color develops gradually on the silk, echoing the steady return of life force and the quiet shaping of new possibilities. The finished scarf becomes a tangible marker of renewal—an object created through patience and attention, carrying the imprint of a body turning once again toward growth, creativity, and expression.

Working with clay as a devotional material, participants will sculpt a goddess or yoni-inspired figure for their altar—an embodied symbol of their inner seasons, creativity, and intuitive knowing. The emphasis is on presence rather than perfection, honoring making as a slow, cyclical process rather than a polished outcome.
This workshop offers a grounded space to deepen connection with the body, engage creativity as ritual, and leave with both practical cycle insight and a hand-crafted figurine infused with personal meaning. Nourishing snacks and herbal tea blends will be provided. Open to women of all ages. No prior art experience is necessary.
