Dreaming with Artemisa
Join us for Dreaming with Artemisia, a sunset gathering at Tweefontein Herb Farm on Friday, June 27th.
We’ll gather fresh mugwort from the land and distill it together in Sasha’s copper alembic. While the still simmers, we’ll sip mugwort tea and open space for shared dream conversation.
Please bring a dream to share—one that lingers or perplexes you—and a journal or sketchbook for reflection and creation. You’ll leave with your own bottle of freshly distilled mugwort hydrosol, a gift from the dreaming plant to carry you through the veil.

Together, we will work with clay foraged from the land to sculpt goddess figurines, drawing inspiration from ancient Neolithic traditions. Traditional Skincare – Crafting with Tallow
Before petroleum-based lotions and synthetic stabilizers, our ancestors crafted deeply nourishing skincare from whole, natural ingredients. Tallow—rich in skin-loving fats—was a staple in traditional ointments, healing balms, and soap-making. Join us to reconnect with time-honored skincare traditions and create your own 2oz Herbal Tallow Balm and a bar of Chamomile Tallow Soap to take home.
In this hands-on workshop we’ll explore:
-How to render and purify tallow for a smooth, odorless balm
-The basics of tallow soap making
- How to bend tallow with infused oils for a deeply nourishing, custom balm

Before petroleum-based lotions and synthetic stabilizers, our ancestors crafted deeply nourishing skincare from whole, natural ingredients. Tallow—rich in skin-loving fats—was a staple in traditional ointments, healing balms, and soap-making.
In this hands-on workshop, we’ll explore:

As you shape your unique creation, you’ll be supported in a warm, nurturing environment with herbal-infused drinks and baked goods lovingly prepared by chef Callie. Callie is a Chef, Doula, Herbalist, Nutritionist, and Mother. Our intention with these workshops is to teach participants how to utilize the plants we will be focusing on, creatively and medicinally. A vast majority of plants will produce beautiful ranges of color as well as having medicinal benefits that enhance physical and mental well being. Open to all skill levels - these workshops will demonstrate how multi-faceted plants, mostly invasives, can be.

In this workshop, we will learn how to identify, forage and dye with black walnuts!
Join us as we create a communal dye bath with black walnut in Sasha’s cast iron cauldron :)
Each participant will leave their own dyed silk scarf, an info packet with a materia medica and instructions on how to dye with black walnuts at home.

Herbal Soapmaking Workshop
Sasha Botanica, in collaboration with Sister Divine’s Farm, will teach us the art of herbal soap-making. Picture this: a cozy fire on an autumnal evening, lounge area to sip on homemade herbal tea with neighbors, and of course, everyone leaves with a bar of herbal soap!

Ukrainian Community Day
There will be live music, singing & dancing workshops, Ukrainian food & craft vendors. Sasha Botanica will lead a nature walk, discussing Ukrainian folk medicines and teach how to make a simple vinok (Ukrainian flower crown) with wild flowers & plant dyed ribbon.
