Join me and Jackie of @liminal_textiles at Crescent Farm @crescenthv in Gardiner NY, September 17th from 11am-1pm to learn how about foraging & dyeing with Goldenrod! We will talk about identification, ethical foraging practices and where to find it growing. We will gather goldenrod as a group and create a dye bath. We will also discuss how to change colors of goldenrod with iron (the yellow turns a gorgeous green!)
All participants will leave with an info packet containing a Materia Medica on Goldenrod, dye instructions so you can have a guide to do your own dyeing after the workshop and your own naturally dyed 21”x21” silk scarf.
✨Our goal with these workshops is to grow a community of creative learning & exploration - whether you have worked with these concepts for years or are just curious to learn more, our workshops are designed for us all to collaborate, learn and create together. No previous experience necessary, kids welcome.
