Gathering the Green: Golden Harvest

As the days grow cooler and the golden hues of autumn unfold, we turn to the seasonal medicine of Goldenrod—a plant of resilience, warmth, and abundance. In this hands-on workshop, we will gather Goldenrod from the land and craft two timeless herbal preparations to support wellness in the shifting season.

Together, we will create:
Goldenrod Pear Cordial – A rich, aromatic infusion of fresh goldenrod, ripe pears, honey, and locally distilled whiskey from Speakeasy Motors Whiskey Co. Cordials are both medicinal and celebratory, offering deep nourishment and warmth as the seasons change.
Autumn Oxymel – A tangy, invigorating blend of goldenrod, raw apple cider vinegar, and honey. Oxymels have been used for centuries as immune-boosting tonics, balancing the body as we transition into the cooler months.

Throughout the workshop, there will be time to wander the fields of Heartsong Sanctuary, sit with the plants, and reflect on the turning of the wheel of the year. We’ll gather around the fire to sip a warming herbal tea blend and share a seasonal herbal baked good, honoring the gifts of autumn in good company.

Each participant will take home a bottle of Goldenrod Pear Cordial and an Autumn Oxymel, infused with the essence of the season.

This series is an invitation to slow down, work with our hands, and gather the green together -honoring the gifts of the land and the traditions of herbal folk wisdom.
