Sun Soap
This herbal soap embodies the high summer sun. I chose the oil base of this soap to be made with Hudson Valley Cold-Pressed Sunflower Oil and have infused it with locally grown Calendula flower.
Looking like little suns themselves, Calendula grows in the height of summer and is well known for its anti-inflammatory properties, which can help soothe irritated skin. Powdered orange & grapefruit peel are added to this recipe for natural color, scent & exfoliation, as well as the essential oils of bergamot & grapefruit for an uplifting citrus scent.
